More than 400 Airmen from across the 366th Fighter Wing are deploying to Southwest Asia where the 389th Fighter Squadron "T-Bolts" will conduct combat operations.
The Mountain Home Airmen will deploy in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. Aircrews will conduct F-15E close air support missions designed to deliver combat air power for joint operations and to meet ground commander requirements. Airmen in a variety of non-aviation roles will be conducting a wide range of tasks to ensure the success of providing critical combat power capabilities in that region of the world. This is why we exist and what we train for everyday. To maintain air superiority, protect our ground forces and provide combat power for our nation to any location in the world whenever we are called upon," said Col. Ron Buckley, 366th Fighter Wing commander. "I have no doubt that the T-Bolts are well prepared and will accomplish their warrior mission with the high standard of professionalism and skill that Gunfighters are known for. I am extremely proud of our Airmen."
