New Gallery FeaturesThe original gallery view is well known for everyone, it displays images in a flat matrix format, 4 images in a row. If there are too many images than it can be fit into one page, then you can switch between pages by clicking on page numbers below the images. You can set the number of images to be displayed in one page. Cooliris displays images as if there they were hung on a virtual wall and you were standing in front of that wall. You can walk left and right in front of the wall (to see more images) or you can move closer or farer from the wall (to see fewer images in greater detail or to see more images in smaller detail). Everything is displayed with a smooth 3D animation, thus creating a very cool viewing experience. You can see the difference between the two galleries below:
In Cooliris you can "grab" the wall (with a small hand icon) and shove it left or right to quickly scan through the images and wall will move in 3D. By using the wheel on your mouse you can zoom in or out (as if moving nearer to or farer from the wall). By zooming out you can scan lots of images at a glance to pick the one you are most interested in. Here is an example screenshot of a Cooliris 3D wall zoomed out:
Pretty cool, isn't it? By clicking on an image, you can view the image in detail and you can start a slideshow as well. And you can share the Cooliris 3D wall of the given gallery on your Facebook or Twitter page as well.Try it and see it for yourself! Accessing Cooliris GalleriesIt is very simple, really. Just navigate to the image gallery of your choice in the "Photo" menu on the left of your screen. By clicking on the gallery name, the gallery appears on your screen, just as normal as before (we did not change or present gallery style, since there are many of you who actually like it). To the left of the gallery title (on top of your gallery screen) you will see the following icon:
Click on this icon and the gallery will be displayed on a Cooliris 3D wall. That's it! You can go back to your "old style" gallery by clicking on the "Back" button of your browser or by selecting the gallery again from the "Photo" menu. Downloading the Cooliris PluginThere is another possibility to use Cooliris: you can download it freely to your PC and use it as a web browser plugin. With the Cooliris plugin downloaded and activated, you can watch any gallery on F-15E.info on a Cooliris 3D wall. All you have to do is move your mouse over a thumbnail image in a gallery and a Cooliris wall icon appears on the lower left corner of the image. See illustration below:
By clicking on this icon, a Cooliris 3D wall appears with all the images of the F-15E.info gallery you were watching. Since it's a locally downloaded plugin, you can customize its appearance for yourself. You can choose not to download the plugin of course. In this case nothing is changed, all F-15E.info galleries still work and you can still access their Cooliris version as described above.
