Operation Northern Watch forces patrolling skies over Iraq - An F-15E Strike Eagle from 48th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron departs on a mission to enforce the Northern no-fly zones over Northern Iraq. Strike Eagles fly the radar suppression and radar-jamming mission over the northern no-fly zones. Two F-15E's fired four laser-guided bombs destroying Iraqi surface-to-air missile sites Dec. 28 in self-defense.
